Our AML and Verification Commitment at Playdash Casino

We hold licence OGL/2023/156/0923 from the Curaçao Gaming Control Board, and with that licence comes a legal duty to know who plays on our platform, where their money comes from and where it goes. This page sets out, in plain language, exactly what we check, when we check it and what happens if verification stalls.

Our AML Commitment Under Licence

Playdash Casino operates under the anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorism-financing framework administered by the Curaçao Gaming Control Board. As the appointed MLRO and compliance team, we run a risk-based programme: every account is risk-scored at registration, and that score drives how closely deposits, withdrawals and gameplay are monitored.

We treat laundering, terrorist financing, fraud and third-party account use as risks we actively manage, not paperwork we file away. Our staff receive annual AML training, our monitoring rules are reviewed at least once a year, and any suspicion of laundering is escalated internally within 24 hours and reported to the relevant financial intelligence authority where the law requires it.

When We Verify Your Account

Know-your-customer (KYC) checks run at three points: at registration, when you cross certain activity thresholds, and before your first withdrawal. At registration we screen your details against sanctions lists and politically-exposed-person databases. Before your first withdrawal, we complete full identity verification, which must be finished before funds leave your account.

  • Government-issued photo ID (passport, driver licence or national ID card), valid and unexpired
  • Proof of address dated within the last 3 months (utility bill, bank statement or council rates notice)
  • Proof of payment method ownership (card photo with middle digits covered, or a screenshot of your e-wallet or crypto wallet showing your name and the last four digits of the card or the wallet address)

How Verification Works Step by Step

Upload everything through the secure verification portal in your account settings. Our compliance team reviews files manually, and we protect them with encryption in transit and at rest, access limited to trained staff, and a strict no-disclosure rule except where law compels us.

  • Open Account, then Verification, and select the document type you are uploading
  • Photograph or scan the full document with all four corners and your name visible
  • Submit and watch the status field, which moves from Pending to Approved or More Info Needed
  • If we need something extra, we message your registered email and the on-site inbox within the review window

Processing times

Standard documents clear within 24 hours. Complex cases, source-of-funds reviews or non-English documents needing translation can take up to 3 business days. We never stall a file longer than that without telling you why, and live chat (24/7) can check the current status of your submission at any hour.

When We Ask for Source of Funds

Most players will never be asked for source-of-funds evidence. We request it when the numbers no longer add up on their own: cumulative deposits well beyond the profile your account history suggests, rapid deposit-withdraw cycles, or single deposits at the top of our limits. The AML rules attached to our licence make this a legal obligation, not a judgement about you.

Acceptable evidence includes recent payslips, bank statements showing regular income, a signed letter from your accountant for self-funded players, dividend or rental income statements, or documented sale proceeds such as a property or vehicle contract. We assess the documents against your deposit pattern and close the review once the picture is consistent.

Monitoring Deposits and Withdrawals

Every deposit and withdrawal on our platform passes automated screening against behavioural rules, sanctions lists and device fingerprints. Withdrawals, by our own rule, go back through the same method you deposited with wherever that method supports payouts, so the money returns along the path it arrived. If you deposited by a method that cannot pay out (for example a prepaid voucher), we return funds via a bank transfer or crypto wallet verified as yours.

Minimum withdrawal is 30 AUD and the daily cap is 10,000 AUD. Crypto payouts settle within 24 hours, fiat payouts within 1-3 business days, and we charge no casino-side fees on either. Splitting one withdrawal into smaller requests to slip under a threshold is a pattern our monitoring flags, so save yourself the delay and let the full review run once.

If Verification Fails or Stalls

When a document is rejected, we tell you the reason and give you a chance to resubmit. If we receive nothing within 14 days of a pending verification request, we suspend withdrawals on the account; deposits and play may continue while you gather paperwork, provided no suspicious activity has been identified.

Where we find a fake or forged document, an account in someone else's name, or evidence the account is being run on behalf of another person, we close it, void any pending winnings under our terms and conditions, and file a report with the financial intelligence authority. Genuine mistakes, a blurred photo or an expired bill, are just that: fix them and we re-review the same day.

How Long We Keep Your Records

We store verification documents and transaction records for five years after your account closes, or five years after the last transaction on an open account, whichever our licence and applicable record-keeping law require. Retention exists so a regulator or a financial intelligence authority can audit our decisions years later. When the retention period expires, files are deleted securely and permanently. You may request a copy of the personal data we hold at any time through [email protected], and our privacy policy explains the full access and deletion process.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to verify before I can deposit?

No. You can deposit up to the standard limits and play straight away. Full verification is triggered by your first withdrawal or by certain activity thresholds.

Why do withdrawals go back to the same method I deposited with?

Our same-method rule is an AML requirement. It confirms you are the legitimate owner of the funds and the payment channel, which is why we ask for card or wallet proof during verification.

What if I only use Bitcoin or another crypto?

Crypto players verify identity the same way, plus we may ask for a short screen recording of your wallet to confirm the address belongs to you. Crypto withdrawals settle within 24 hours once verification is complete.

Can someone else verify for me if I am blocked?

No. Accounts must be held and verified by the named owner. Third-party verification is treated as an AML breach, and the account is closed with any pending winnings voided.

How long until my documents are approved?

Most submissions are cleared within 24 hours. Cases involving source of funds or translated documents can take up to 3 business days, and we notify you either way.
